Jennifer Yi
OUR FOUNDER
Jennifer Yi is a global events and branding leader with more than two decades of experience shaping the worlds of gaming, technology, and entertainment. She began her career in 2000 producing large-scale technology and gaming events for companies including Sony, Intel, AMD, Microsoft, and Best Buy. Among her most notable achievements was leading the Xbox Odyssey, a 31-city tour that introduced the Xbox brand to the world.
Her expertise extends far beyond events. In 2006, Jennifer developed Microsoft’s Games for Windows brand and has since guided countless brand launches, particularly for early-stage startups. She also played a defining role in the growth of esports, serving as Microsoft’s marketing partner to Samsung for the World Cyber Games and helping to create both the Halo World Championship (2012–2016) and the Forza Racing Championship (2017–2019), the foundation of today’s Porsche Esports program.
Over her career, Jennifer has been credited on more than 80 game titles, including landmark franchises such as Halo, Forza, and Kinect, as well as iconic indie hits from studios like South Park Studios, Playdead, and Team Meat. Her tenure as Global Marketing Lead at Microsoft Game Studios Japan and senior global marketing roles across Xbox titles solidified her reputation as one of the most experienced brand and event leaders in the industry.
In 2019, Jennifer founded Ladybug Workshop — now Ladybug Ventures — a creative technology studio that unites branding, software development, integrated marketing, and live experiences under one roof.
